"I will not allow this to happen", she had said.

"If I go with my lover, the family of the bride will send me to jail".

So when the D-day arrived, she drove to the venue in an SUV, accompanied by about two young men and made a decision to kidnap him. Deputy Superintendent of police, Maudaha, Ramesh Kumar Singh, however, told TOI, "Ashok Yadav, who has been recovered from his house, had allegedly developed affair with Varsha, who was employed in the same dispensary when he used to work as a compounder". The revolver belongs to Varsha's father, a farmer in the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh. While Kangana Ranaut as 'Revolver Rani' in the movie may have saved the hero's life, this was slightly different. Although it was 1.30am when she reached the marriage venue, she had put on black goggles and a cap.

On her information, the groom was rescued, police said, adding the accused were being questioned. "She has no fear or regret".

"I have been with you for eight years as your wife".

Ashok's father, however, would have none of it. "Sahab, je ladki ne izzat mitti milai do (Sir, this girl has ruined our reputation)", Ram Het Yadav said, pressing for harshest punishment for her.

Ashok Yadav, a native of Mohanpurwa in Banda district, was getting married to a girl hailing from Maudaha town of Hamirpur district on the night of May 15 when he was kidnapped. She further said that she dropped Ashok in Banda and after that he left on his own.Ashok is still missing and the police are now investigating the matter.

The police also found themselves in a dilemma after Ashok denied he was abducted.

The police said Ashok was a medical representative in Banda town but he spent most of the time in the doctor's clinic where Varsha worked.

Varsha further asserted that she did not carry any weapon. But a few months later, he started avoiding her as his family had fixed his marriage with another woman. "We have to crosscheck the claim", an officer said. Following a complaint by grooms father, a case has been lodged against Varsha and her one other aide Rahul, who has also been taken into police custody, under section section 363 of IPC. He begged the police to allow Ashok to decide his own future.
