Destiny 2 on the Nintendo Switch is Not Happening

Bungie's Destiny 2 will be coming to PC and is exclusive to Blizzard's Battle.net service.

Unfortunately, it appears that PC players may need to wait a bit longer than their console brethren to get their hands on the game as Bungie has not confirmed whether or not Destiny 2 will be launching on the PC at the same time as the PS4 and Xbox One versions. We'll have more on Destiny 2 as it approaches release!

According to WCCFTech, the PC version of "Destiny 2" will feature 4k Resolution Support (3820×2160), uncapped frame rate, boring mouse and keyboard support with custom key mapping, text chat, adjustable Field of View, detailed PC settings screen and 21:9 monitor support. The story wasn't cohesive and didn't dive into the game's lore much.

However, that's not all as we also found out how to run "Destiny 2" on different platforms. As mentioned, Destiny 2 is an online-only title and the biggest appeal of the Switch is that it's portable and there's no way to play online games on the go on the console/portable hybrid.

He also added that while he can not confirm exactly when the PC version will drop, he hopes to have the date set "in the coming weeks". Whereas the first Destiny focused on becoming a Guardian and using those powers to protect humanity, Destiny 2's theme is redemption.

Destiny 2 also features a chat channel under the sound settings.

Fighting alongside your fellow Guardians and the Vanguard, featuring the returning cast of Cayde-6, Commander Zavala and Ikora Rey, Destiny 2's campaign is aiming to give players a truly fleshed-out experience this time around. The Destiny 2 inherits the same. "And today, we are giving people their first look at the gameplay of Destiny 2", said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision. And even better news for players intrigued by the cosmetic changes but uninterested in the stat boosts. I like that they showed off some of the new guns, one being a grenade launcher and others to have some alien-esk technology incorporated as well.

What do you think about the news about this new sequel to Destiny. Blizzard says making a brand new PC launcher/network client "would needlessly extend the development period for the game". It is not excluded that the Beta will actually begin in June after the E3 in Los Angeles, as well as it is possible that the Beta of Destiny 2 will be held in August, a few weeks before the launch of the game, scheduled for September 8.

Destiny 2 promises a real narrative.
