Boston Celtics reveal the full extent of Isaiah Thomas' teeth injuries

Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas (4) dribbles against Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat (13), of Poland, during the second half in Game 4 of a second-round NBA basketball playoff series, Sunday, May 7, 2017, in Washington. To avenge Kelly Oubre Jr., who was suspended for charging into Boston's Kelly Olynyk in Game 3, the crowd lustily booed Olynyk every time he touched the ball. Thomas also committed six turnovers. He is ready for a minor league game or two before finally making his first start for the big club this season, and if he can return to form it will greatly bolster the starting five.

Like Game 3, the Wizards won by a pretty comfortable margin.

LeBron James scored 35 points and Kyrie Irving 27 as the Cleveland Cavaliers completed a four-game sweep of Toronto, beating the Raptors 109-102 on Sunday to give James his seventh consecutive trip to the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Washington shot 65.0%, made all 12 of their free throws, and held the Celtics to 31.3% shooting in the quarter overall. It's just basically what we've been doing, and just trying to get the ball out of his hands. I play the same way each and every night. What you see is what you get with this current Wizards version as they simply won't have the flexibility to upgrade the roster with extensions looming for several key players. They still lead the series two games to one, but Thomas was held to just 13 points after scoring 53 in game two.

Three days after allowing a 22-0 spurt that allowed Washington to blow them out of the building, the Celtics outdid themselves, permitting the Wizards to score 26 straight points in an epic playoff meltdown.

Boston won the first two games at home to take a 2-0 lead, and Washington responded by winning the next two on its home floor to tie the series up, 2-2. "The fact that they were home I feel like they were able to hold onto the lead and put us away". "It's not like we can't go up there and play good basketball". PG John Wall has finished with at least 20 points and seven assists in all 10 of Washington's playoff games this season.

Will the Washington Wizards find a way to even up their series with the Boston Celtics when the two meet in Game 4 today at 6:30PM ET? "But I know how much I mean to the team.' So I think it's just a learning experience for him moving forward".

Washington got on the board in the series with a 116-89 win at home in Game 3 on Thursday night.

In their 593 playoff games all-time that preceded this series against the Wizards, the Celtics allowed 38 or more points in the first quarter 10 times, according to stats guru Dick Lipe.

After the first half ended tied at 48, Washington came out of the break energized and ready to take control of the game, and that's exactly what they did.

"We have to focus on playing good basketball", Stevens said on a conference call Friday. Mahinmi returned in game three and provided an emotional spark for the Wizards, getting into a shoving match with the Celtics' Jonas Jerebko in the second quarter. But, as often ism the case in the playoffs, it's not the big name stars coming up big for the Rangers, but the fourth line plugger players you don't often think of helping to dig the Bluehshirts out of the hole.

The team said in a statement that Thomas had two other damaged teeth that required "extensive oral surgery to stabilize". But when Washington went on a remarkable 26-0 run in the third quarter, it was nothing but transition dominance from Wall and the Wiz.
