Kerala government today shifted two senior IAS officers in the Agriculture department after they openly traded charges against each other.
Raju Narayana Swamy and Biju Prabhakar have, however, not been given new postings.
The decision to transfer agriculture principal secretary Raju Narayanaswamy and agriculture director Biju Prabhakar was taken at a cabinet meeting held here today. "Raju Narayana Swamy was removed as he is not taking decisions in some of the files and Biju Prabhakar was removed considering his leave application", a press statement of the cabinet decision stated.More news: Chelsea: John Terry hits back at critics over substitution

The rift between top officials of the Agriculture department came to fore with Director Biju Prabhakar and Principal Secretary Raju Narayanaswamy levelling allegations against each other the other day. The issue figured in the Assembly this morning in the form of a notice for an adjournment motion by the Opposition, which staged a walk out protesting against the Speaker's refusal to grant the notice. The Cabinet has appointed Tikaram Meena as the new Principal Secretary of the Agriculture Department.
According to reports in Malayalam dailies no IAS officer will be appointed as Agriculture Director. Swamy had alleged Biju Prabhakar's IAS was fake and warned of approaching the Union Government. The incumbent Tourism Director P. Balkiran has been given additional charge of KTDC managing director.
