ASUS' new ZenBook Pro features 4K display and Nvidia GeForce GTX1050Ti graphics

Taiwanese firm Asus unveiled on Monday, May 29, their 2017 lineup of laptops, including what Asus chairman Jonney Shih described as "the world's thinnest convertible" and "the world's most prestigious laptop". The additions include updated versions of the company's popular ZenBook Pro and ZenBook Deluxe flagship laptops and a new ZenBook Flip S Convertible. "Our brand new ZenBook and VivoBook lineup truly goes to the edge of beyond, providing everyone with a new definition of thin, attractive and powerful laptops", Shih said.

PCMag's sister publication is on the ground in Taipei, and got some hands-on time with the ZenBook Flip S. Moreover, the ZenBook Flip S also sports a "NanoEdge", which means minimal bezels around the display. The former features a 15.6-inch 4K UHD display, Core i7-7700HE processor with 16GB of RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD and a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. According to Asus, its battery can last up to 11.5 hours. The company said that this is the thinnest 14-inch laptop on the market right now. Despite the 4K display and plentiful processing power, ASUS is quoting a battery life of up to 14 hours.

"ASUS ZenBook Flip S is one of the world's thinnest and lightest convertible laptops, designed for anywhere and everywhere", touts the company.

It comes with a seventh-generation Intel Kaby Lake Core i7 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SSD.
